Shaken baby syndrome is VERY serious. It happens when someone has violently shaken a child to the point of causing whiplash and brain damage. If you or someone you know seems to be in a state of mind that could cause them to harm their child get help right away.

If a baby or toddler exhibits any of the following symptons call 911 or take them to a doctor right away. they may be suffering from SBS

Extreme irritability (极度烦躁 )
Difficulty staying awake (难保持清醒 )
Breathing problems (呼吸困难 )
Poor eating (饮食不良)
Tremors (震颤 )
Vomiting (呕吐 )
Pale or bluish skin (面色苍白或皮肤青紫)
Seizures (癫痫发作 )
Paralysis (瘫痪 )
Coma (昏迷)

At the hospital they will do a series of test to confirm if its shaken baby syndrome They may include a CT scan, an MRI, X-rays, an blood tests.
