　　(德国之声中文网) 22国的驻联合国大使上周联名谴责中国的新疆政策，批评其做法违反人权。 上周五 (7月12日) 37个国家联名致函联合国，表态他们支持中国的新疆政策，表示中国的“反恐”及“去极端化”让人民感到幸福与安全。 中国驻巴基斯坦大使馆的临时代办赵立坚于上周六 (7月13日) 透过推特表示，这些国家对中国的支持等同于“给了美国及其西方盟国一个耳光”。

　　中国外交部周一 (7月15日) 在例行记者会上也被问到关于赵立坚于推特上发表关于华盛顿特区非裔群体的言论，而外交部发言人耿爽表示，他并不了解具体情况。 然而，耿爽也重申，中国在新疆推动的反恐与去极端化措施已取得积极有效的成果，且各族群也支持并拥护中国政府的做法。 他说: “新疆目前政治稳定，社会和谐，人民生活安居乐业。 我们坚决反对美国以及其他个别西方国家借涉疆问题干涉中国内政，这一立场是非常坚定、明确的。 ”
